The even more mysterious presence within Owens is explained to be the reincarnated form of the Alchemist of Aphiana, protector of the Ark.
He reveals to them the true nature of the world and the Ark of Aphiania to be a weapon, an Arcana fueled canon that devastated the planet thousands of years ago.
The gang is now on the last leg of their journey as they find themselves traversing an abandoned mine shaft under the mountain range leading to the tower, but it appears they are not alone...
